The Property Information Questionnaire will now by law have to be included in HIPs from April 6 onwards.
The Regulation was made on Wednesday, amending an oversight in last month’s amendments.
It means that from April 6, a property which requires a HIP must not be marketed without one which contains: an index; a PIQ completed by the seller; an EPC; a sale statement; and title evidence. The local authority and drainage/water searches continue to be outside this requirement but should normally be included within 28 days of the first point of marketing.
